A friend told me this " thanks for watching over me" and she send me all this points which she has started to understand......


Some people are mentally strong, and some aren't. This article will help you towards your goal of being mentally strong.

1. You have to appreciate yourself and think you are worth something in this world. Maybe you can't cure cancer, or make poverty history, but you can brighten someones day, or help out with something. Make your standards realistic.

2. Improve your self esteem. Think what self esteem means to you and brainstorm on how you can improve your thinking of yourself. Maybe you aren't the best basketball player or dancer, but you are a hard worker and see your improvement. That is more like self esteem.

3. Start thinking about deep topics and where you stand in opinions. Things like abortions, poverty, education, life in general.

4. Stand up for those beliefs, it takes courage to go against the trend. But it is your belief or opinion. One way you're mentally strong is being able to stand up for your beliefs.

5. When facing a tough challenge don't shy away from it, tackle it. Use your own strategies to help you along the way. This is another way of being mentally strong.

6. Be a leader, stop being a follower today. Be able to stand up to people, be independent, reliable, helpful, and kind. Being a leader is having power over yourself.

7. Respect, once you are strong, remember you are mentally strong, not ignorant. Respect yourself and others, but people still need to earn your respect

8. Do things for your community. Coach a team, volunteer, start programs, fund raise, organize things to make your community a safe and growing place. Be a friendly smiling face.

9. Think of situations where people might try to bring you down (especially for younger people). For example: Someone decides to be a know-it-all and make a comment on your work, think of something clever to say back. Don't be a door mat and let people walk all over you.

10. Certain situations related to the above point work better if you do the completely opposite thing With certain people sometimes not saying anything and literally ignoring the comment makes their bad comment backfire upon them as you are not even acknowledging what they said. Remember such people should not get to you if you want to be mentally strong.

11. Some people on the other hand might employ constructive comments. Learn to distinguish between constructive and destructive comments. A strong minded person is able to learn when they made a mistake and correct it.

12. Have a good group of friends, or a friend who is positive for your lifestyle, act yourself around them, make funny jokes if you're funny, etc.

13. Strive for long term goals rather than short term satisfaction. It's very easy to gain short term satisfaction, a quick high, a fast relief from your current problems (such as drugs, alcohol, sex). But it is what it is, a "short term" satisfaction, its effects die out very soon, leaving you again with this empty feeling. Set long term goals, set goals which take time, thought, and effort to achieve. This will make you continually work towards improving yourself bit by bit and will give you the satisfaction of bringing a permanent change in your life.

She added: Girls tend to put down guys while Mature women know how to make a man stronger. So basiy you want a woman by you side and not a girl because a girl will weigh a guy down while a woman will help him succeed in life.

We too must become stronger... there is always people cutting in your lane which slows you down.... we must learn to overcome them....
